Trafigura
As a major commodity trading company Trafigura sources, stores, blends and transports base metals and energy. It comes as no surprise that in 2018 the total shipping emissions were about 4.74 million tCO2e, which represent of 89% of Trafigura’s total GHG inventory.

HP Inc.
HP Inc. (formerly Hewlett Packard) estimates about 1.2 million or 3.4% of the company’s annual 36 million tonnes GHG emissions are generated from logistics. To bring personal computers and printers to markets quickly, most emissions are from freight transportation by air (58%), followed by road and rail (29%) and sea (13%) delivered mostly through logistics partners.

Heineken
In 2021, HEINEKEN has set new ambitions to reach net zero across its value chain by 2040 and reduce 30% of its scope 3 absolute emissions by 2030. These new targets include logistics, which contributes to about 11% of the company’s carbon footprint (reference year 2018), of which 90% is approximately from road, and 10% from ocean, barge, rail and warehousing operations.
