GreenRouter logistics emission calculation tool is now accredited by Smart Freight Centre

04 September 2019 - In July 2019 GreenRouter got accredited by SFC as a calculation tool that provides emissions calculations in conformance with the GLEC Framework.

In July 2019 GreenRouter got accredited by SFC as a calculation tool that provides emissions calculations in conformance with the GLEC Framework. GreenRouter is one of the first GHG emissions calculation tools to have received this accreditation from SFC.GreenRouter is widely used by many multinationals around the world. Many of these companies expressed interest in the use of the GLEC Framework; therefore GreenRouter Srl, the organization behind GreenRouter, wished to ensure the alignment of its tool with the GLEC Framework.

Based on discussions with SFC, GreenRouter Srl made some adjustments to its tool by which it achieved alignment with the GLEC Framework. With the completion of the accreditation process, SFC confirms that GreenRouter can provide calculations for freight transport and logistics operations that are in methodological conformance with the GLEC Framework © ®

This accreditation also means that multinational shippers and logistics service providers are able to implement the GLEC Framework by using GreenRouter.
