Flexport's Carbon Calculator API is now accredited by Smart Freight Centre
13 August 2020 - Companies can calculate their logistics-based carbon emissions in conformance with the GLEC Framework, using Flexport's digital platform.
Flexport's new Carbon Calculator API functionality, designed to help businesses easily assess up to 100% of their carbon footprint for shipments, is now accredited by Smart Freight Centre. The free tool is available through the Flexport digital platform.
With the completion of the accreditation process, SFC confirms that Flexport can provide calculations for freight transport and logistics operations that are in methodological conformance with the GLEC Framework © ®
This accreditation also means that multinational shippers and logistics service providers are able to implement the GLEC Framework by using Flexport's Carbon Calculator API.
