South Coast Logistics was founded in 1975 and specialises in Bulk Chemical and Petroleum distribution, servicing many industries ranging from the food, pharmaceutical and petrochemical sectors.

This family owned business is headquartered in Fermoy Co. Cork, Ireland with satellite facilities in the main urban centres of Dublin, Cork, and Galway.

Employing over 100 staff and with a fleet of 80 tractor units and more than 200 specialised trailers / tankers to service its customer’s needs, South Coast Logistics has grown to become an industry leader in the sectors that it operates.

South Coast Logistics were looking for a training course which would provide them with structure and a fresh approach to the challenge of increasing fuel efficiencies across their truck fleet.

Keen to find a certification which would be recognised by their international clients, Smart Freight Centre Smart Manger Training fitted the bill.

"We found that environment is right up there on the agenda of many of our customers. Their expectations on us to provide a “greener” service was also a driving force for us to change. This course helped to focus on the areas that need improvement."

"It highlighted where further fuel savings can be made easily."

"It was good to have a group of likeminded individuals focused on a common goal and willing to share knowledge and experience."
